Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse performs under the direct supervision of the Director. The RN is delegated an assignment by the charge nurse to achieve quality patient care. The Clinical Nurse implements the nursing process systematically, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. This is done in collaboration with the unit charge nurse, as evidenced by documentation in the Patient Care Record and patient evaluations of care. The RN is responsible for patient care and accountable to the Director of Nursing. The Clinical Nurse demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. They assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs.
