Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides care to critically ill neonates, including managing life-support systems and attending to the unique needs of premature infants and those with serious medical conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Level 3 or 4 neonatal intensive care patients.
• Administer respiratory support such as ventilators and CPAP.
• Provide 1:1 care for critical patients and 1:2 or 1:3-4 ratios for grower/feeders.
• Adapt to frequent admissions, potentially altering assignments during shifts.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams, including potential floats to MB, Peds, and Elmhurst - Special Care Nursery.
