Description: This unit has transitioned to a virtual integrated care nursing model. Registered Nurses must work the schedule provided. The unit has 24 beds, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 6:1. Common diagnoses include congestive heart failure, diabetes, pneumonia, and chronic kidney disease. Registered Nurses are required to read telemetry strips. Television/Monitor Technicians monitor patients, with nurses also needing to interpret readings. Charge Nurses, House Supervisors, and Nurse Educators are present to provide support.
