Job Requirements:
• Uses the nursing process, critical thinking skills, professional judgment, and the attributes of Careful Nursing to provide care for an assigned population of patients.
• Assesses patient needs to identify both medical and psychiatric issues, monitor vital signs, and gather patient histories.
• Plans care and delegates tasks to ancillary personnel based on patient assessment.
• Administer medications, including psychiatric medications (such as antipsychotics or antidepressants) and treatments for physical health conditions.
• Evaluates patient response to care provided and make changes in the plan for care as needed.
• Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care while also educating patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies for managing both mental and physical healt...
