Description: This unit includes a total of 7 Labor and Delivery beds. There are 4 triage beds and 2 overflow beds available. The Postpartum area has 27 beds, including a 5-bed nursery. The unit averages about 3 births per day, totaling approximately 1545 per year. Nurses are required to have certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and advanced fetal monitoring.
