Rigging Foreman

Responsibilities

• 1.1 Supervises shipboard rigging as well as loft rigging, assembling of docking cradle and assist Dock Master during docking and undocking preparation.
• 1.2 Prepare and supervise load lifting and shifting.
• 1.3 Conducts inspection of all rigging gears such as wire rope, lifting belt, chain hoist, shackle and wire hoist.
• 1.4 Supervise fabrication of safety nets, lifting wire, mooring ropes and belts.
• 1.5 Coordinate status of rigging job to higher authority.
• 1.6 Analyze blue print lifting operation.
• 1.7 Supervises the day to day work operation of 3 to 4 subordinates first line supervisors and through them a working force of 20-45 semi skilled and skilled position performing line work normally assigned to the subordinate components.
• 1.8 Coordinates with immediate supervisors and docking officer during actual docking and undocking of ships.
