Performs respiratory therapy general and critical care procedures in accordance with the physician’s order, departmental policy, and Respiratory Care guidelines or protocols.

Initiates, monitors and manages patients requiring various types of invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.

Initiates and manages various types of airways and associated equipment.

Obtains blood gasses from sites. Analyzes and reports results.

Documents and charges for respiratory care procedures and tasks. Provides patient and family education, as appropriate.

Communicates with members of the healthcare team to include students and nurse shadows. Provides an accurate and complete report. Makes ...
