Research Specialist, Fabrication Shop (Neurosurgery) - #Staff

The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a **_Research Specialist, Fabrication Shop_** to work within the department's HEPIUS (Holistic Electrical, Ultrasonic and Physiological Interventions Unburdening those with Spinal Cord Injury) Innovation Lab's fabrication shop. The Research Specialist will work under the guidance of the PI to design and fabrication ultrasound sensors. The work will involve both computational simulations (mathematical modeling), as well as routine hands-on fabrication activities (e.g. lapping, dicing, sputtering, etc.).

The Research Specialist performs a range of assays and experiments specific to an area of research, requiring a good understanding of the work of the laboratory. Makes contributions to various aspects of research efforts. Performs routine troubleshooting and helps with training and orientation of others working in the laboratory.
