Job Description
**Description:** Lead advanced research, development, and integration of Supportable Low‑Observable (SLO) technologies for the F‑22 program, ensuring reductions in radar cross‑section, infrared, and other signatures while maintaining aircraft performance and sustainment.
Key responsibilities
Area Typical duties
Technical leadership • Define and prioritize SLO research topics (materials, geometry, coatings, active signature management).
• Lead cross‑functional IPTs to integrate low‑observable solutions into air‑vehicle designs, test plans, and production processes.
Modeling & analysis • Develop high‑fidelity signature‑prediction models (RCS, IR, visual) and validate against flight‑test data.
• Use computational electromagnetics (CEM) tools and RCS budgeting to assess design trade‑offs.
Materials & processes • Guide selection and qualification of LO‑compatible structural materials, coatings, and treatments.
• Oversee laboratory and range testing of signature‑impac...
