Your role and responsibilities

• Contributing to and leading research projects in sensing and machine perception addressing the needs of our businesses, with applications including process automation, process industries, port automation, or maritime transport.
• Developing novel, high-value sensing products and solutions from the concept definition phase to the experimental verification.
• Evaluating new technologies, conducting technical surveys, generating project proposals with business impact.
• Collaborating with researchers and engineers from other research centres, ABB business units, and universities.
• Disseminating results with scientific publications and internal technical reports, generating intellectual property.

Qualifications for the role

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
