Research Associate / Research Assistant (NLP Research)

The appointee will work closely with faculty to conduct and support empirical research in Fintech areas, specifically in the use of AI / ML and multimodal content analysis. Specific research tasks include but are not limited to natural language processing algorithms for Chinese texts, such as pre-training and fine-tuning of language models. The appointee is also required to perform any other duties as assigned.

Applicants should (i) have a PhD degree (for Research Associate position), or a master’s or bachelor’s degree (for Research Assistant position) in computer science, data analytics, statistics, mathematics or related disciplines; (ii) have strong quantitative skills and experience in data cleansing, data manipulation, and analysis; (iii) have understanding of NLP techniques for text representation, semantic extraction techniques, data structures and modelling; and (iv) be able to work independently and be team-oriented with goo...
