Request for Proposal: Wildfire Vegetation Management Program Contractor

The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) is inviting qualified Proponents to provide proposals to act as the RMOW’s Wildfire Vegetation Management Program (WVMP) Contractor. The scope includes all the necessary work to coordinate and carry out the safe and successful completion of fuel thinning projects in accordance with the relevant Fuel Management Prescriptions developed by the RMOW’s Wildfire Program Consultant (Consultant). An example Fuel Management Prescription (not for the proposed Treatment Units) is provided in section 11.

Since 2004, the RMOW has been conducting wildfire vegetation management in the form of fuel thinning projects on unceded lands currently managed by the province and municipal lands to reduce the risk of wildfire to our community.
