Job Description Summary

Gearboxes Repair Technician will be responsible for Mechanical disassembly, inspection and assembly of Wind Gearboxes. He/she will report to the Shop Operations Leader.

Job Description

In addition you will:

• Exchange Bearings and gears as per engineering drawings and remanufacturing specifications
• Be able to perform standard mechanical assembly procedures, perform rework, and repair of gearbox components and systems to drawing specifications Downtower in the repair shop or Uptower in the Wind Turbine.
• Repair and Assembly of WTG 750KW, 1.5/1.6MW and 2.x MW turbines.
• Maintain proper handling of GE tools and equipment.
• Occasionally required to work in tight areas, ladders, scissor lift, greater than 4m high off ground.
• Occasionally required to perform repair operations uptower.
