Regular Full-Time Construction Inspector

Reporting to the Supervisor, Infrastructure Delivery, or designate, the Construction Inspector ensures all work related to Capital and Subdivision Development works is performed in compliance with approved plans and relevant specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspection of all phases of construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, standards, and regulations
• Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout all stages of construction, including daily job diaries, field notes, site photos, progress reports, and final measurement records to support contract payments, project close-out, and as-constructed submissions
• Coordinate and liaise effectively with internal departments, external agencies (e.g. Region of Durham, utilities), consultants, developers, contractors, and residents to support project delivery and minimize disruptions.
