Registered Respiratory Therapist - Cardio Respiratory

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for service provision in all areas of the hospital including adult ICU, Level 2 NICU, Paediatrics, Emergency, Operating Room, Medical/Surgical units, Dialysis, and Chronic Care. Respiratory Therapy Services offer a full range of diagnostic studies including full PFT studies, bronchial provocation and ABG procurement and analysis. Respiratory therapists provide airway management including endotracheal intubation, work closely with physicians in ventilator management, attend high-risk deliveries, and provide support services to the department of anesthesia.

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy program required

• Current RRT registration with the CSRT required

• Current General Certificate of Registration with the CRTO required

• NRP certification required

• PALS and ACLS certification preferred
