As part of an interdisciplinary team the Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Registered Nurse provides direct health care services to patients presenting with a wide variety of complex addictions and mental health issues. The nurse performs physical, addiction, and mental status assessments; refers patients to the physician for further examination; and administers prescribed treatments and medications.
