Registered Practical Nurse

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

According to the updated standards and current scope of practice as set out by the College of Nurses of Ontario and the policies of Lakeridge Health, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients whose conditions are stabilized; administer treatments as ordered by physicians and assigned by Patient Care Manager or Patient Care Specialist; observe and enforce infection control principles and aseptic techniques required; and other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Registered Practical Nurse Diploma from an accredited community college;
* Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario;
* Current B.C.L.S.;
* Knowledge and experience caring for Nephrology patients, preferred;
* Proven related and effective experience in an Oncology Unit or similar environment and evidence of continuing education courses related to the requirements of position;
