Registered Occupational Therapist

We are currently looking for an Occupational Therapist for a Long Term Care home client in Hamilton, Ontario. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with residents to help improve their activities of daily living.

Schedule

• 5 hours bi-weekly

Job Duties

• Conduct OT/ADP assessments for residents per College standards, develop individualized treatment plans, and document all progress notes in the facility’s health record system.
• Complete feeding assessments for residents.
• Complete assessments for falls prevention and Least Restraints, including reviews of bed rails.
• Work with the Physiotherapist and Nursing staff in regards to wound management (ex: positioning, lifting and transferring.
• Work with multi-disciplinary team to make recommendations with respect to other interventions or treatments (ex: Restorative Care, Pain Management, Contingence Management), and ensure the interve...
