Summary This Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care demonstrates proficiency in practice and deliberate planning in the care and management of patients/residents with acute and chronic wounds across clinical practice settings. Responsibilities Major duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for providing competent, evidence-based care to patients with oversight of licensed vocational nurses/nursing assistants as appropriate to the setting. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team regarding the quality of care. Utilizes evidence-based practice to improve, guide and expand knowledge of skin and wound practice, assessment, and management (and may include ostomy and continence care). Leadership in evaluation of clinical practice, enhancement of staff knowledge, development of patient/resident education and clinical support to interprofessional staff (e.g., nurses, clinicians, physical therapist, and other clinical staff).
