Healthcare Professional – General Inpatient/Surgical Care
Call requirement: 4–6 calls per 6-week period (including weekend call). Call windows: Mon–Fri: 23:00–07:00. Sat/Sun: 07:00–19:00 or 19:00–07:00. Ratios: 1:1 (days, nights, weekends). Weekends: Required only for call shifts.
Orientation: 40 hours.
Required experience: 2 years clinical experience. Required certifications: BCLS. Additional suggested certifications: ACLS, BLS. Other required credentials: CA state license must be in hand (pending licenses not accepted). Clinical skills: Perioperative and general surgical competencies (laparoscopic and open procedures, thoracotomy, bowel/hernia/thyroid/orthopedic procedures), blood product administration, wound management, universal protocol/time-out, infection control, specimen handling.
