Job Description
Working in the Central Alberta Anticoagulation Clinic (CAAC) within the Medical Specialty Clinics, you will work with an interdisciplinary team to provide initiation and ongoing management of anticoagulant therapies. The CAAC manages patients with acute thrombotic or bleeding risk by providing education, coordinating lab testing and ongoing anticoagulant monitoring and management. The Registered Nurse also supports development, implementation, ongoing evaluation of clinic workflow, and quality improvement. The registered nurse works collaboratively within an inter‑disciplinary team, with other health care professionals, community agencies and key stakeholders to ensure the best outcome for the patients. Note that this position can be hybrid on and off site based on day‑to‑day requirements of the clinic, but ability to work on site at RDRHC is required when necessary.
