Registered Nurse - Oncology/Hematology/Infusion

Summary The Oncology/Hematology/Infusion Registered Nurse is part of the Close to Me Cancer Care Service (CTM), a traveling care team that transports medication to the Lexington VA HCS CBOCs for clinic appointments to both administer hands-on oncology care and parenteral treatments. Responsibilities The CTM RN utilizes specialized knowledge and judgement to deliver high quality and evidence-based care to patients and their families. A team approach is used to identify, analyze and resolve patient care problems. The CTM RN will monitor, track trends, and report ongoing care needs to the team. The CTM RN provides a safe working environment while administering, handling, transporting, and disposing of antineoplastic drugs, non-neoplastic drugs, blood products, and medical waste.
