The Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) is one of two Tertiary Trauma Centers in the City of Edmonton and one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Canada. Centrally located in Edmonton’s downtown core, the RAH serves a diverse community, including some of our province’s most vulnerable and marginalized population. The RAH Emergency department cares for patients with major trauma, cardiac events, injuries, and general medical problems. Our staff are dedicated to improving patient and provider experience through ‘The Royal Alex Way’. We are motivated and strive towards excellence; embracing our inner city pride.
