Registered Nurse – Critical Care #237-26

Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Critical Care and Respiratory Therapy, the registered nurse focuses on the promotion of health and the assessment and provision of care and treatment of health conditions by supportive, preventative, therapeutic means to critically ill adults and occasionally children, during the critical phase of their illness so that the client may return to, attain, or maintain optimal function.

Required Qualifications

• Ontario College of Nurses registration
• 3 years of recent Critical Care experience
• Critical Care Certificate
• Current BCLS
• Current ACLS
• Current PALS or willingness to obtain within one year of hire
• Demonstrates an ability to think critically and respond effectively in emergency situations
• Excellent communication, customer service and collaboration skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals
