Regional Operations Leader

About the role:

This is a hands-on leadership operational role that plays a major role in the day – day running of Albany’s rail operations by providing frontline leadership to enable the safe, reliable and cost-effective delivery of train services to our customers.

• Champion a safety culture to promote our “I know SAFE I choose SAFE” approach
• Manage allocated yard and traincrew operations
• Implement business improvement initiatives in order to reduce asset cycle times and improve train payloads
• Provide active crewing levels to support the provision of rostering and scheduling services
• Build positive workplace relationships with allocated team including setting and monitoring of performance standards and behavioural standards
• Take responsibility for incident investigations
• Ensure optimum driving methodologies are being adhered to by regularly reviewing locomotive downloads
