3 months contract with a Local Authority Job Title: Refuse Driver Job Purpose To safely operate refuse collection vehicles and support the efficient collection of household, commercial, and recyclable waste. The Refuse Driver is responsible for ensuring collection rounds are completed on schedule while maintaining high standards of safety, customer service, and environmental compliance. Key Responsibilities Drive and operate refuse collection vehicles in accordance with road traffic laws and company policies. Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements. Complete assigned collection routes efficiently and safely. Work closely with loaders and other crew members to ensure smooth waste collection operations. Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE.
