Recreation Assistant (ODR)

Summary About the position: The primary purpose of this positions is to perform as shift lead in the Resale and Rental operation for the Outdoor Recreation Center, 35th Force Support Squadron, Misawa AB Japan. his is a regular part time category position; guaranteed 20 hours per week but may be up to 34 hours depending on the needs of the facility. Military Spouse Preference IS lost if selected/ or declined for this position. Responsibilities Types of duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Tests and trains other assistants, recreation aids, and patrons on a wide variety of equipment rental/loan items such as skis, snowboards, camping, kayaks, sup boards, canoes, scuba, fishing, and biking equipment. Ensures proper check in/out of equipment and demonstrates safety and conservation techniques to staff and customers for campsites, and water sports area.
