SUMMARY

This non-exempt position is responsible for carrying out all aspects of retail operations. The Re-Use Center Assistant will deliver excellent customer service, creating positive interactions with customers and donors while supporting coworkers in the sorting, pricing and merchandising of products. Additionally, Re-Use assistants will maintain donation intake areas, load, unload and move furniture, building materials and other merchandise.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures accurate, professional, and efficient sales including cash and non-cash transactions, issue receipts, refunds, or change.

• Complies with all cash handling procedures.

• Greets and addresses all customers.

• Provides suggestive sales and demonstrates product knowledge.

• Accurately answers customer questions and responds to phone inquiries promptly and courteously.
