Alberta Opportunity Stream: Who Can Apply?

She heard other workers talk about the Alberta Opportunity Stream and permanent residence, and curiosity slowly replaced her fear. Marta wanted clear rules, simple steps, and a real chance to stay; therefore, she began exploring the Opportunity Stream in detail.

The Opportunity Stream is part of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). This stream helps certain temporary foreign workers move toward permanent residence in Alberta. You must meet rules on status, occupation, language, education, work experience, and job offers. The province and AAIP use these rules to select workers who support Alberta’s labour market.
