Our client has an exciting and rare opportunity to join a small regional hospital on the beautiful South Island of New Zealand. 

About the role and location:

This position would suit an Emergency Medicine Specialist who is keen to make a real difference in a smaller community and location. 

The role is based in a community owned trust hospital, offering a range of public and private integrated services, including 20 inpatient beds, a 24/7 Emergency Department, maternity services, a GP practice, dental clinic, specialist outpatient clinics, Allied and Community Health services, MoleMap, lab, radiology, and Mobile Surgical Services and services a population of approximately 20,000.

The ED is staffed by Nurse Practitioners and Physician Associates (USA trained). It is a rural level 2 ED that is funded to stabilise and transfer patients to the tertiary base hospitals in Invercargill and Dunedin. Current Specialists / Consultants there cover both ED and...
