Radiology Technologist-OutPatient

Position Purpose
This position produces optimal diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care. The incumbent is accountable for individualized patient care while in the Radiology Department.
Nature and Scope
The incumbent must provide optimal patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of neonatal, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and families. The incumbent must also demonstrate the ability to work with the physical, motor/sensory adaptation, cognitive, and psychosocial needs specific to the population being served and meet standards of quality as measured by the Unit/Department age specific competency standards.
The incumbent must competently operate imaging equipment and related machinery, verify and execute physicians' orders for diagnostic and therapeutic exams while ensuring the proper preparation for such exams and the safety and well-being of patients during procedures.
