Radiology Technologist - Interventional Radiology - Springfield Regional Medical Center

Performs all diagnostic and interventional exams according to established policy and procedure for interpretation and subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.

Essential Functions:

+ Performs all diagnostic and interventional exams and procedures including, but not limited to, angiography,vertebroplasty, line placement, biopsies, and interventional.
+ Assists physicians in procedures ensuring that sterile technique is adhered to. Follows time out procedure.Obtains history, explains exam, and addresses patient concerns. Administers contrast according to policy.Operates imaging equipment in the prescribed manner by setting proper technique, collimation and protocol.
+ Reviews and evaluates completed tests for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered; ensures qualityimages. Completes paperwork timely. Uses PACS to send images for interpretation and storage. Able toprint images or burn CD on request.
