Radiologist (Medical Specialist)

Overview

As a Radiologist in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), you provide diagnostic and consultative patient care services for CAF members. You work closely with Medical Radiation Technicians and may lead within CAF Health Services and mentor and educate the full spectrum of military health care providers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate, rapid radiological interpretation of multimodality imaging, including computed tomography (CT), ultrasound (US) and X‑ray;
• Help guide surgical and medical treatment at a Canadian Forces Health Services Clinic or while deployed on international, peacekeeping or humanitarian operations;
• Maintain a high level of clinical currency by holding a position within a civilian health care facility;
• Provide interventional skills for minimally invasive therapeutic treatment of injuries on overseas missions (when applicable);
