NOTE: This position is eligible for remote work within the contiguous United States if residence is further than 30 miles from a physical NuScale office.
POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager of Radiological Engineering, this position will specialize in the areas of source terms, normal and accident dose analysis, atmospheric dispersion modeling, particle transport, reactor analysis, and shielding analysis with a focus on pressurized light-water reactors and primary systems. This position requires self-motivated professional with experience working in a remote platform (webex, phone, email), with the necessary qualification to obtain US export controlled software through RSIC.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Perform engineering calculations and analysis using industry-standard methods and simulation tools (e.g., NRCDose, SCALE, RADTRAD, MCNP, and ADVANTG) with little to no supervision.
