Position Summary
The Radiologic Technologist produces high quality diagnostic images and operates the equipment associated with the Radiology Department. Takes radiologic films of various portions of the body to assist in the detection of foreign bodies and the diagnosis of diseases and injuries. Performs proper handling of infectious waste and contaminated instruments.
Essential Job Functions/Accountabilities
Produces high quality diagnostic images with minimal patient exposure. Following ALARA standards.
Ensures that safety devices such as shielding, lead aprons, and gloves are utilized properly during procedures. Maintains proper operation of radiology equipment. Maintains radiology patient records.
Reviews Radiology requisition and physician order to ensure proper procedure is performed. Identifies patient and test for accuracy. Processes Radiology imaging requests. Handles infectious waste, li...
