They work with high-purity quartz for industries like semiconductor manufacturing, research, and laboratory equipment, often creating items like furnace tubes, gas discharge tubes, and reaction apparatuses. 

• Fabrication and Repair: Using oxy-fuel torches to cut, bend, weld, and shape quartz glass according to technical drawings or blueprints.
• Machine Operation: Utilizing lathe machines to rotate quartz pieces for even heating and precision fabrication.
• Precision Work: Utilizing tools like calipers and micrometers to measure, align, and ensure components meet strict tolerances.
