**Essential Functions of the Job:**

+ Perform complex work to very close tolerance requiring high accuracy and quality
+ Responsible for setting up or checking the work of others
+ Ensure flow of work is maintained in a timely manner
+ Use appropriate gauging to inspect machined, welded and assembled parts
+ Use shop math to determine geometric dimensions and tolerance
+ Use advanced automated measuring equipment (eg coordinate measuring machines –cmm; Faro Arm; Mahr Form; profile tester; hardness testers; surface profilometer)
+ Use judgement to plan and perform unusual and difficult work where only general instructions are available
+ Perform an extensive and accurate layout of parts needing machined
+ Build low volume parts on the layout tables for weld assembly
+ Inspect preparation for paint and final paint of all parts and completed machines
