QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (MECHANICAL)

Summary You will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist (Mechanical) of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will facilitate prevention of defective material through analysis of the Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDR) Trend Analysis Report. You will propose solutions to proactively correct negative trends and advise the Contracting and Item Management Sections during the pre-award stage as appropriate. You will coordinate with the packaging specialist when trends identify repeated damage resulting from inadequate packaging or handling. You will research and apply a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze, and improve effectiveness, efficiency, and work products. You will develop and/or maintain effective data utilization methods to generate the data required to prepare the report and validate that it is both accurate and complete.
