Job Purpose

Weld Inspectors are responsible for all aspects of inspection, and Quality Control in the facility alongside interfacing with fabrication crews.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Understanding and knowledge of owner and client specifications
• Understanding of Academy’s QC Manual
• Confirming that the dimensions of spools meet fabrication tolerances
• Verifying all elements, and signing off on red stamp for cut sheets
• Visually examining welds
• Verify material grade / spec, and heat numbers
• Flange face and bevel preps
