Purchasing Specialist

Under minimum supervision the Purchasing Specialist is responsible for a broad base of Purchasing.
Responsible to support manufacturing and other disciplines by procuring raw materials, equipment, OEM parts, tooling, and services while achieving targeted inventory and cost objectives.
Additionally, the role is responsible to identify opportunities and to develop an action plan to localize materials where beneficial.Responsibilities· Responsible forissuing purchase orders for non-MRO materials and MRO suppliers to approved suppliers.
· Ensures purchaseorders are maintained and tracked in ERP with accurate price and delivery,communicates any impacts/constraints of delays to key stakeholders.
· Assures thatproblems relating to delivery, quality or pricing are promptly conveyed tosuppliers and resolved in a timely manner, escalating to Leadership for supportwhen appropriate.
