Purchasing CoordinatorTeam overview and job responsibilitiesJob responsibilities- Supervise a team of 4-6 Material Buyers- Supervise raw material to identify, solve and prevent shortages- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure correct inventory levels avoiding expedited, short and over inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure we meet goals- Ensure the timely and proper involvement of the purchasing team in new products and engineering changes to avoid obsolescence of raw material and finished product.
- Lead improvement projects in the materials area- Negotiate with suppliers the introduction of a consignment model- Ensure the availability of purchased material to support the manufacturing process in a J.I.T manner.
- Work with the Materials Management to help meet the organization's objectives.
