Volunteer Position

Job Type: Volunteer (part‑time) – Voluntary Basis

Location: Bromley, London

We are looking for a Punjabi‑speaking befriender volunteer to meet up regularly with one of our residents at our service in Bromley. Our resident enjoys knitting and arts activities; we seek a volunteer who enjoys knitting and crafts, can spend time with them and support them.

This role is for an extra care service with self‑contained flats for older people with a variety of support needs.

Volunteer Duties

• Meet on a regular basis with the person we support
• Provide companionship and conversation whilst respecting boundaries
• Engage the person we support in activities
• Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members
• Work within Creative Support policies and procedures, respecting boundaries
• Attend regular supervisions with the supervisor and complete any training provided
