Pulmonologist

Job Summary

Reporting to the Department Head of Respiratory Medicine and the designated Medical Director, the respirologist focuses on the study of the respiratory system and the diagnosis, management, and prevention of respiratory diseases.

Provides care to patients presenting respiratory symptoms or lung diseases of all origins, including chronic, uncomplicated, or complex respiratory conditions, respiratory failure, upper or lower respiratory tract disease, lung parenchyma disease, pleural disease, mediastinal and pulmonary circulation disease, and sleep or respiratory drive disorders. The respirologist assesses, manages, and provides longitudinal care for respiratory illnesses, including primary and secondary prevention, treatment, and pulmonary rehabilitation. The respirologist performs procedures and interprets diagnostic results, prescribes ventilatory support, oxygen therapy, and other breathing‑supportive treatments, and conducts follow‑up.
