Join the Public Works Department as a Temporary Certified Mechanic for at least 12 months. Your role will primarily focus on diagnosing and repairing vehicles, ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
Reporting to the Manager of Parks and Roads, you will be engaged in repairing malfunctioning vehicles and equipment. This position involves routine maintenance, managing parts inventory, and meticulous record-keeping to ensure all equipment is operational and safe.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair tasks
• Conduct inspections for safety compliance
• Manage inventory and order necessary parts
• Document repairs and code invoices for payment
• Complete road tests to assess vehicle functionality
Requirements:
• Two-year Power Motive Technician Diploma or equivalent
• Training as a 310T Truck and Coach Technician
• 310S Automotive Technician training
• Two years of related experience required
