Public Procurement/SCM Domain Lead

The Public Procurement / SCM Domain Lead will be responsible for providing expert guidance and oversight on all aspects of the public procurement lifecycle within the National Treasury and OCPO framework. This critical local domain role will ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and policies, manage bid committees, and validate procurement processes to meet Auditor-General expectations. The role is intended to be locally led and will not be managed offshore.

Responsibilities:

• Validate the entire procurement lifecycle, from initiation to contract close-out, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Oversee and guide Supply Chain Management (SCM) practices, including demand and acquisition management.
• Manage and validate bid committee workflows, ensuring proper constitution, functioning, and record-keeping.
