Position Type Parks Maintenance/Horticulture Worker Date Posted 5/11/2026 Location Parks Department Job Summary Under the direction and supervision of the Horticulture Supervisor, the Part‐Time IMRF Horticulture Worker is responsible for assisting in supervising the performing of a variety of park maintenance, including turf maintenance, basic horticulture maintenance, forestry, snow removal, and recreation support activities. The Part‐Time IMRF Horticulture Worker is on call as needed, working hands‐on in the field, and occasionally supervising and leading seasonal and part‐time employees. As an IMRF enrolled employee, this person in this position is expected to work between 1,000 and 1,500 hours per year. This is an at‐well position. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age.
