Psychiatrist – Community Assessment Team

• Permanent full-time 1.0 FTE (80 hours a fortnight)
• On-call allowance

About this position

• Deliver quality acute care to outpatients based in Nelson Community.
• Join a supportive multidisciplinary team including registrars, mental health nurses, and social workers.
• Be responsible for leadership and further development of the Community Assessment Team and develop a consultation-liaison service based on evidence‑based and best practice models.
• Liaise with whānau and others involved in patients’ care, and make referrals to community services.

Qualifications

• Bring your psychiatric expertise to improve mental health for the adult population in the region.
• Hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent.
