• Evaluates, examines, analyzes, diagnoses & treats consumers, prescribes medication & performs in-depth psychotherapy & counseling.
• Monitors & coordinates professional & paraprofessional medical, nursing & direct care staff in psychiatric care.
• Provides psychological services to patients, conducts psychological & neuropsychological evaluations, & writes evaluation reports.
• Conducts individual & group counseling on issues including substance abuse, trauma, and suicidal ideation.
• Evaluates the mental status of defendants/patients for court proceedings and provides expert testimony as needed.
• Participates in treatment team functions & provides guidance to team members.
