About the Role
Our Anaesthetic Department provides a 24 hour, 7 days per week service to Whangārei Hospital as well as oversight to one of our rural centres, Kaitaia Hospital. We have a strong Perioperative Medicine department with specialist anaesthetic echocardiography, bariatric, and high-risk clinics. Our workload includes a large proportion of paediatric work, as well as trauma, major general and ENT procedures, obstetrics, and spinal surgery. Kaitaia Hospital has been approved as a satellite training site where you could complete up to 10% of your time and experience working in a rural anaesthesia environment.
