About the Role:
You will manage the council's property portfolio, including leasing, licensing, buying, and selling properties. Your work will help the council make the best use of its property assets to meet community needs and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day property tasks like leases and licenses.
- Negotiate contracts for leasing, sales, and acquisitions.
- Keep property records, such as tenancy schedules and land registers, up to date.
- Work with council staff, contractors, and external advisors.
- Help set budgets and monitor property financial performance.
- Prepare reports for council meetings and represent the council in property-related meetings.
- Support compulsory property acquisitions when required.
